Plumley drops to
the ground, his barely conscious body thudding into the platform surface like
dead weight. Stacy directs her right fist at him, her knuckles glowing. She lets loose a howl as a blood red beam of energy shoots out of her fist and slams into Plumley’s body with such force that it sends him spiraling off the platform and face first into a wall.
The Command Room is suddenly silent. The flashing lights cease. The danger alarm stops.
Stacy lands, the M-Verse portal sizzling above her. She breathes deep as the flaming wings dissipate.
The claws and fangs retract. Then she turns to Adrien Dillard.
