Jason ignores him with a smile and starts unpacking the briefcase. The other competitors stare at Falcon with expressions of worry and angry.
FALCON
There's no need to be concerned, everyone. It's all legit.
STACY
Please explain how bringing live weapons into the arena is legit?
MARCIA
How is that even fair?
The others mumble their complaints and inquiries. Falcon looks at Jason.
FALCON
Do you mind, Private?
JASON
It's fine. They'd have found out sooner or later. It's probably better to just get it out of the way.
Jason straps the utility belt around his shoulder and checks his firearms. Falcon addresses the competitors.
FALCON
Private Oliver has a brain defect that prevents him from processing energy from the M-Verse. He can only funnel the energy though his body and into specialized weapons.
