As the small circle of light floats beside him on the platform, Slater opens his eyes. Although he speaks to Plumley, his words are meant for someone else.

SLATER
I know you’re in there, you coward. You have tormented this man long enough. You are a thief and a liar. Show yourself!

Slater lets go of Plumley’s throat and he falls over unconscious. Just as his head hits the floor, a column of black dust begins to float out of Plumley's body.

The dust rises slowly, slithering upwards like a faceless snake. The others watch, completely vexed, as the dust starts to take a large, human shape. Marcia screams as the creature's charcoal-black eyes survey the arena. When it notices Slater, the creature makes a screeching noise and backs away, as if frighten.

Slater steps forward.

SLATER
Get out. And stay out.

The black-eyed creature makes another screeching sound before exploding into a mass of splattering black debris that sprays the entire arena.

Nearly everyone in the arena is slack-jawed. The cameras cut to a commercial break.
